Anonymous asked: I hear that the LGO network is more tightly knit within and does not cross over to the Sloan network. Can you comment on if there are interactions across?

The LGO seems to be a great program on the face of it and I wonder why there are not many many more applicants?

I will definitely agree that the LGO network is incredibly tight knit.  Over the summer, we spend pretty much every day together when we are the only ones on campus.  Beyond the forced comraderie, we actually like each other as well.  I have found the LGOs to be fun, intelligent and down to earth.   All in all good people.

However, the LGOs integrate pretty easily into the sloan crowd as well.  We are put on fall core teams of only other sloan students and are put in an “ocean” with at least 50 other sloan classmates.  I’ve made plenty of sloan friends, but do find myself hanging out with the LGO students as well just because I like them so much.  Not because I don’t like the sloanies.

Finally, I agree that LGO is a great program.  I’m not sure why there are not more applicants.  Its an unmatched program in my opinion.
